The Fort Wright City Council recently conducted a thorough review of the current fiscal condition of the City, and subsequently determined that a reduction in tax rates were warranted.
As a result, at a special public meeting held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 final action occurred on an ordinance that reduced your property tax rates to .265 per $100 of assessed value on real property, roughly a 5% decrease from the current rate of .279, and a tax rate of .409 on personal property, which is the same as last fiscal year.
The meeting was open to the public and held at City Hall.
Property tax bills are expected to be mailed to property owners by mid November, and are due by 5 pm on Thursday, December 31st, 2020. Postmarks will not be accepted.
