The Fort Wright City Council recently conducted a thorough review of the current fiscal condition of the City, and subsequently determined that a reduction in both real and personal property tax rates were warranted.
As a result, at a special public meeting scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 6 pm it is anticipated final action will occur on an ordinance that will reduce your property tax rates to .265 per $100 of assessed value on real property, roughly a 5% decrease from the current rate of .279, and a tax rate of .409 on personal property, which is the same as last fiscal year.
The meeting will be held at City Hall and is open to the public.
