The City of Fort Wright is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, individual for the position of full-time Police Officer. This position will be responsible for the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances and will report directly to the Chief of Police and/or his designee.
The successful candidate must: be 21 years of age; a U.S. citizen, free from felony conviction; have a valid KY driver’s license or be capable of attaining one; and have a HS diploma or equivalent at the time of appointment. Applicants must satisfactorily pass all pre-employment requirements in accordance with KRS 15.382, the Peace Officers Professional Standards Act (POPS)
Salary Range (DOQ) is $48,498.59 to $65,225.21, plus occasional over-time, special details, and a $4,000 state hazardous duty incentive upon receipt of POPS Certification. Excellent benefit package provided, which currently includes the following:
