LEGAL NOTICE
Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the City Clerk, Municipal Building, City of Fort Wright, 409 Kyles Lane, Kenton County, Kentucky, 41011 until 11:10 A.M. local time on MAY 14, 2020, for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete project known as FORT WRIGHT 2020 CONCRETE STREET PROGRAM. Those present for the opening of the bids will be limited to City Staff. A Live stream of the bid opening will be presented for viewing by bidders and the general public at https://cityoffortwright.my.webex.com/meet/jcbailey
Bids must be in accordance with drawings and specifications and on forms available from CT Consultants, Inc. at a non‑refundable cost of Seventy-Five Dollars ($75.00) mailed. Documents may be ordered by forwarding a copy of a check with shipping information, email and phone contact to [email protected] and confirmed by calling 440-530-2272. Checks shall then be mailed to CT Consultants, Inc., 8150 Sterling Court, Mentor, Ohio 44060.
The bid specifications, drawings, plan holders list, addenda, and other bid information (but not the bid forms) may be obtained via the internet at www.ctconsultants.com/bidinfo/index.html. The bidder shall be responsible to check for Addenda and obtain same from the web site.
Each bidder is required to submit with his proposal a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid or certified check equal in amount to ten percent (10%) of the base bid. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a surety bond in an amount equal to one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Kentucky to provide said surety.
Proposals must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the same and all persons interested therein. It is the intent and requirements of the owner that this project be completed no later than SEPEMBER 15, 2020 FOR RIDGEMONT AND OCTOBER 30, 2020 FOR HELEN RUTH.
The successful bidder will be required to have a current occupational license in the City of Fort Wright before the Contract will be awarded.
The City Council of the City of Fort Wright, reserve the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
The City Council of the City of Fort Wright shall authorize acceptance of the bid made by the responsible bidder who, in Council's judgment, offers the best and most responsive proposal to the City, considering quality, service, performance record, and price; or Council may direct the rejection of all bids. The City may award based on "functional equivalence" concerning specified work or products.
