Please be advised the Northern Kentucky Water District (NKWD) has scheduled a water main shutdown on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 12 am to 7 am. The following areas will be affected:
- 1700 block of Highland Ave (referred to as Old Highland Ave)
- Kyles Lane from Highland Ave. to Valley Drive
- Side streets in the affected area: Valley Drive, Farrell Dr., Sanatorium Rd, Wrights Point Development, & Community Rd (St. Charles Nursing Home).
This work involves replacing a broken 12” valve from a previous emergency shutdown and the installation of a new 12” valve to help reduce the number of affected customers for future work. Everyone in the shutdown area should have been notified by a NKWD door flyer. The current work plan is to cut in the new valve first which will allow a good portion of the area affected by the shutdown to be turned back on. Work will then begin to replace the broken valve. Getting water services restored quickly to everyone in the area is a top priority.
