WHAT IS CLEAN UP DAY?
Each year, neighbors, friends, local businesses, and community organizations join together to pick up trash around the entire City of Fort Wright! Celebrate Earth Day by sprucing up our city at the 4th Annual Clean Up Day!
Volunteers will meet at the Fort Wright Municipal Building at 409 Kyles Lane at 9:00AM. The city provides t-shirts and trash bags to all volunteers. It’s helpful to wear long pants and bring work gloves. We will split up into groups covering specific areas of the city. This year, we will also do some pruning, so bring tools if you’d like to help with that project.
The Dirty Hands Garden Club will be donating trees to be planted on the grounds of the city building this year. Those trees will be planted that day as well. Come and meet the garden club members!
This is a great way for students to earn SERVICE HOURS!
LUNCH FOR VOLUNTEERS
To show our appreciation, all volunteers are invited to meet us at the Fort Wright Civic Club (on Kennedy Avenue) at 12:00 for a free lunch brought to you by Sub Station II!
