Fort Wright Monarch Way Station Garden
The plantings in this garden were designed by the Fort Wright "Dirty Hands" Garden Club to provide rest, nectar and habitat for the monarch butterfly's reproductive cycle. It also functions as a sensory garden, where labelled plants are at various heights to be smelled, touched and admired.
The garden also includes memorial plaques to honor deceased Garden Club members and a special sculpture in memory of Fort Wright resident, Daniel Lee, who died in the service of our country.
Benches in the Monarch Way Station Garden also provide a quiet, restful retreat for visitors with the sounds and smells of plants and falling water.
The location of the Fort Wright Monarch Way Station Garden is on the property of the Fort Wright City Building, across the driveway from the main parking lot.
